University of Illinois Alumni Association - Most Improved Small Club

Let it be known that the Greater Philadelphia Illini Club has gone above and beyond the call of duty by expanding its programs to appeal to a wide variety of interests. Events, aside a couple of Illini game watches, included a backstage tour with principal trumpeter and alumnus David Bilger, followed by a concert with the Philadelphia Orchestra, an inaugural scholarship fundraising dinner at McGillin's Old Ale House, community service with PhilaCares, and Around Philly Summer Happy Hour Series. The club also hosted its first UIAA speaker program with Sousa Archivist Scott Schwartz and DMA trumpet candidate Tracey Parish. It is with great pleasure that the U of I Alumni Association presents the Greater Philadelphia Illini Club with the 110% Award for Most Improved Small Club.
