Illini 4000 Bike America

Meet 28 current Illini students biking across America to increase awareness in the fight against cancer!

This summer, 28 current Illini students will be biking across the country to raise money and awareness in the fight against cancer. The team has two stops in our area! We are planning to support them as much as we can.

Would you like to chip in a few bucks to defray costs when we feed them on Wednesday night? If yes, please send your payment via PayPal (treasurer@greaterphillyillini.org). If you have any questions about using PayPal, just e-mail the address above and we will explain it to you. Or, if you prefer, you can mail a check to: Greater Philadelphia Illini Club, PO Box 175, Jenkintown, PA 19046.

Thank you so much for your support!

While riding across the country, the Illini 4000 Bike America Team interviews cancer patients and survivors from all walks of life. We believe that everyone has a story to tell; from the truck driver in New York City to the wheat farmer in Colorado. The purpose of this project is to illustrate cancer's influence on American life, and how individuals respond to cancer according to their religious beliefs, location, and socioeconomic status.
